The club has been hit with an EFL transfer embargo, preventing them from registering any players. This was imposed as the club were unable to comply with the league's new Salary Cost Management Protocol regulations following relegation from the Championship.

Home Kit

The 2026 home shirt draws on several design elements from Oxford kits of the past. The navy chest band, first seen on the 2014 home shirt, makes a welcome return, while the navy shoulder trim is another familiar feature, having appeared on numerous Oxford shirts over the years, particularly during the Puma era.
The fold-over V-neck is reminiscent of the Umbro shirts worn during the 1980s, although the short-sleeve trim feels slightly out of place and does not quite complement the neckline. The fabric itself incorporates a subtle shadow pinstripe, adding texture without overwhelming the design.
Perhaps the most pleasing detail is the club crest. Rather than using the full badge, the home kit proudly displays the Minoan ox head on its own, a feature that also carries through to the shorts. Instead of traditional printing or embroidery, the crest is applied as a silicone TPU heat transfer, giving it a slightly waxy texture and a bold, three-dimensional appearance.
Finally, for the first time since 2008, the home shirt is also available with long sleeves.

I’ve got to say, Macron are really delivering this year.
A white away kit with yellow and blue trim has always been a favourite of mine, evoking memories of the white 1980s Umbro away kit and the New Balance design from the late 1990s.
Unusually for Oxford, the shirt features a hooped design formed from navy and yellow pinstripes. The Macron motifs are outlined in yellow, helping to make this feel unmistakably like an Oxford shirt.
All in all, it is a smart, classic-looking kit that should also work particularly well if mixed and matched with the home shorts or socks.
Third Kit

The three kits share similar design cues, most notably the wide contrasting chest panel, giving the set a consistent identity.
The navy shirt features a collar and subtle ridged pattern across the fabric, adding texture to an otherwise simple design.
Using the same three colours creates considerable potential for kit mash-ups, with 18 possible colour combinations.
It feels like a missed opportunity, though, for the third kit not to feature yellow shorts rather than a second navy pair. Yellow would have added more variety and mixing options.
Goalkeeper Kits
The goalkeeper kits feature a bold, jagged graphic layered over an organic, mottled texture reminiscent of fish scales. The template is shared by several Macron-supplied clubs, each with their own distinctive colourway.
They look superb and, given how well the colours complement one another, could they even inspire a goalkeeper kit mash-up?
However, just as in the previous two seasons, the goalkeepers also wear the away kit.

The League Cup winners’ patches featured once again, while, as in the previous season, the shirts did not feature a secondary sponsor.

Pre-season Kits
Although released in March 2026, the limited-edition In Bloom shirt carried over into the 2026/27 season, following the club’s announcement that it would be worn by the first team during the summer.
After the fanfare surrounding its release, including an exclusive presentation box for the individually numbered collector’s edition, this all felt like something of an anticlimax.
Supporters never had the opportunity to see the kit worn in action, as it was only ever worn during a training-ground friendly against Wealdstone.
For the first 'proper' pre-season games at Aldershot and Barnet, the team wore the 2025 third kit, minus the secondary sponsor. The shirts and shorts featured the EFL number sets.
The new 2026 kits made their debut in the first home pre-season fixture at the Kassam Stadium versus Crawley Town and Ipswich Town.
The shirt and shorts numbers reverted to the standard EFL number set, replacing the club’s preferred ‘Fixen’ font used during the previous season. No player names featured.
